Debra is a national bank examiner with more than 25 years of public and private sector experience in Information Technology and Cybersecurity. In the private sector, she held various IT leadership positions including Chief Information Security Officer and has led the governance, risk management and business continuity and resiliency functions at global fortune 500 companies. She has also acquired Information Security certifications including the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and is experienced in Lean Six Sigma. Debra joined the Office of Innovation in January 2020. Prior to moving into this role, she spent five years as the Bank Information Technology (BIT) Lead Expert for the Central District. In this role, she worked with district leadership, IT examiners and supervised financial institutions in IT and cybersecurity matters. She trains and mentors other examiners and has spoken at CEO outreach and other industry conferences. As an Innovation Officer, she supports responsible innovation focusing on the Innovation Pilot Program, AI, and payments. Additionally, she supports the Central and Western District providing technical assistance to examiners and bankers.
