Mark Solovy launched, built, and co-heads the technology and tech-enabled business services financing group at Monroe Capital, which specializes in direct lending, opportunistic private credit investing, recurring revenue financing, and equity co-investments in tech-enabled business services and technology companies. With approximately $5.6 billion of committed and managed capital under management (as of April 1, 2018), Monroe provide flexible private debt and equity co-investments in support of LBO activity, accelerated growth, strategic acquisitions, dividends, debt refinancing, conversion to SaaS, and online lending. Monroe has financed companies backed by well know private equity, growth capital, and venture capital firms, as well as successful founder and employee owned businesses. Monroe’s Tech Finance Group is also the co-sponsor of Thunder Bridge Acquisition, LTD, a special purpose acquisition company which intends to focus its search on acquiring a company in the financial technology sector. As an industry thought leader, Mark speaks nationally on the topics of technology investing and private credit, including speaking engagements with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University School of Law, Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, and numerous industry conferences. Mark earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.S. in Business Administration (summa cum laude) from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Mark serves on the Board of the Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Alumni Association.
